A Playful 10-Minute Full-Body Movement Routine for Kids
When families want an activity they can fit into the day, a short follow-along video can be a welcoming place to start. In this JeevaJoy routine, animated instructor Mr. Apple makes movement playful and approachable.
What’s in the Routine?
The video includes walking in place, lateral step reaches, jumping jacks, high knee running, squats, Running Man, side lunges, mountain climbers, punches, Squat And Kick, Walking & Arm Fold and body rotations. Each movement lasts 10 seconds and is repeated five times before the next begins, making a 10-minute routine.
Why Mix Up the Movements?
Stepping, reaching and squatting invite children to move their legs, arms and core in different ways. Faster movements add variety, while walking and rotations offer a gentler change of pace. The aim is enjoyable participation and a positive everyday movement habit—not a focus on weight or appearance.
Make It Work for Your Family
- Clear a safe space and wear comfortable clothing.
- Let children choose a comfortable pace and pause when they need to.
- Join in or encourage children as they learn the sequence.
